Dufour 48 catamaran

About Dufour 48 catamaran

Dufour’s novelty, first model of catamaran Range, Dufour 48 entered multihull market this September. With high end technology and outstanding hydrodynamic qualities, first of his kind, exceeded all the expectations. Designed by legendary Umberto Felci and Lorenzo Giovannozzi, this new catamarans is characterized as new modern, elegant and innovative model in line with the distinctive symbols of the Dufour Touch.

The Dufour Catamaran 48 totalize 124 m2 of sail area upwind, with 76 m2 of mainsail and 48 m2 of jib, a combination that makes it easy to control in any situation. In order to ensure maximum safety and easy handling, the mast was pulled back on the center line of the boat in order to balance the weights and limit tensions on the mainsail. The front sails are larger and offer new possibilities. The key element of this multihull is the fly bridge envisioned as a second cockpit and it expands considerably the living space outside. Balance between inside and outside space The Dufour Catamarans 48 presents a perfectly balanced deck plan, with the cockpit space, roof and foredeck divided into 1/3 of the total length. The Dufour Catamarans 48 has been designed to satisfy the requirements of both owners and charterers wishing to live on board throughout the year. The presence of a large living room was essential to the design and the result is perfectly achieved. The wide 360° window facing the sea provides plenty of natural light.

She is manned by a professional Maritime Crew.
